Olivia’s music ranges from edgy pop to jazz fusion to hip hop and straight up rock and roll. She has been influenced by artists as diverse as Ezra Furman, King Princess, Wes Montgomery, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jack White, David Wax Museum, Brian Wilson, B.B. King, Tony Bennet, Kendrick Lamar, Van Morrison, and Ella Fitzgerald.
As a Transgender/Queer musician, Olivia often incorporates LGBTQ+ lyrical themes into her work and believes in creating safe spaces at her shows for gender diverse individuals. Her solo performances often utilize looping and multiple instruments.
Olivia has contributed to the work of other artists as a session musician and producer, has composed original music for film and modern dance and has released multiple albums and EPs in collaboration with wonderful musicians such as saxophonist Zoe Stinson, Percussionist Zack Nickle, and jazz trumpet and flugelhorn player John Melito.
Olivia was awarded a merit scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music’s prestigious Summer Jazz Program, where she received honors. She has also studied at the Vermont Jazz Center. After receiving an artistic achievement scholarship, Olivia studied music and film at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, graduating with a BA in 2020. While at Hampshire College, Olivia studied music at Goldsmiths University in London and filmmaking in Paris.
In 2020 Olivia was the recipient of an Artist Development Grant from the Vermont Arts Council to produce a live musical performance video and was commissioned to compose an original layered vocal interpretation of a visual artist's work by the Smith College Museum of Art.
Olivia’s future (post COVID-19) projects include a solo tour as well as performances with The Onlys, and Cats in the Limelight as well as solo and collaborative recordings with other artists.
